what a friggin stud. That was an incredibly powerful, infuriating, and entertaining read. Thanks!I feel that in my whole life I have never done anything of any conspiratorial nature and I resent very much and very deeply the implication of being called before this Committee that in some way because my opinions may be different from yours, or yours, Mr. Willis, or yours, Mr. Scherer, that I am any less of an American than anybody else. I love my country very deeply, sir.
That was extremely frustrating to read. Scary to think how recently this happened, not to say that people like Mr. Tavenner don't exist in this country today, but I'd like to think we're past Congress interrogating and punishing U.S. citizens for exercising their first amendment rights. But then there's the potential of the NSA to do these sort of things more secretly, which worries me.
That's the scary thing about zealots and fear-mongerers, it doesn't take much for their ideas to catch momentum. With the right breeze, any small spark can ignite the forest.
