Anyway, I think that this is something that people should be more aware of. In the countries involved in the dispute, it is a very real cause for concern. I'm a bit surprised that the Filipino government would allow such an honest look at their military efforts. In a way, I'm glad to see something represented so starkly, but I do feel that a lot of people who are unfamiliar with the situation will look very unkindly on the efforts of the Filipinos. It's no surprise that a government with as much internal corruption would run an operation of such importance so shoddily but as a Filipino, I do find it distressing. Then again, I don't really see where the money would come from to hold the territory even under better circumstances as the territory governed by the Philippines needs a lot by way of infrastructure and services before such an operation could be realistically considered.
