Thought I'd mention an upcoming event that looks interesting for any Aussie Hubskiers (or those who'll be in town). I'm not connected to the event/organisers/etc in any way; just an honest heads up about what looks to be a pretty intriguing event for those interested in #journalism, #politics, #news, and the leaks involving the #nsa and Wikileaks/Chelsea Manning. On September 16, Sydney Opera House is holding an event called, 'The War on Whistleblowers and their Publishers: Manning, Snowden and Assange', and it's billed as follows:

US Journalist and activist Alexa O'Brien and Australian commentator Robert Manne will be joined by video conference with Wikileaks founder Julian Assange and Guardian Journalist Glenn Greenwald in a not to be missed panel discussion on stage at the Sydney Opera House.

Unfortunately there isn't going to be a Q&A, but it should be an intriguing discussion to hear. I've already booked in, if they allow phones inside I could try and take notes and write it up, or stream live updates to Hubski?
