Sitting at a fire with my grandmother on the shore of Lake Superior, we saw Northern Lights of a kind that I didn't think was possible. It looked like the sky was the ceiling of a cathedral, but the paintings were dancing.
I can't imagine what early people must have thought when they witnessed something like that. We watched them for hours. She grew up there and said she had never seen anything like it.
