Melanie's Marvelous Measles is an anti-vaccination book aimed at children. It claims – despite evidence that measles can kill and cause brain damage – that it's a "good thing" to have.
EDIT: The UK Amazon product reviews are pretty good. https://www.amazon.co.uk/product-reviews/1466938897 I really hate books like this.
I love the most most helpful favourable vs critical reviews section. Can't wait for the next couple of books in this thrilling series - the "Jimmy Savile Guide to Childcare" and "Babies and Knives - what's the worst that could happen".
This is such a preposterous book and movement. I know I've said it in other comments so I'll keep it short here but we, as a society, should NOT give these people valuable attention unless it is, like this article, slamming their ignorant claims. Giving voice to these baseless anti-science, anti-medicine claims only makes them appear just as valuable as the evidence-supported, peer-reviewed facts of experts for generations. They are not. This is social poison.
Bloody hell. Even the MMR-causes-autism people didn't go as far as saying that measles was a brilliant and wonderful thing to have... I hope.
