Thank goodness. His presence has an impact, according to his tweets. Of the people who speak out for climate change, he's doing the right thing on their behalf. The hope would be he can curb or reshape the thoughts on where the government should invest resources regarding oil/energy.
I hope he stays. Trump needs some advisors who have interests that aren't wholly self-serving. Unfortunately, it seems a very vocal mass of people believe you can only be an advisor to the president if you agree with the president... Uber's Travis Kalanick had to leave the advisory panel for this reason: ... Mr Kalanick bemoaned what he called a “perception-reality gap”. Although he said he didn’t support President Trump’s immigration policy, people thought he did. And that’s what mattered most.“Joining the group was not meant to be an endorsement of the president or his agenda but unfortunately it has been misinterpreted to be exactly that,” Mr Kalanick told staff in a memo announcing he was stepping down.
Good. If I could have voted for Musk for President I would have. I most closely align with his visions of the future and I'd love to see him involved in high level decision making. Does anyone know if Cheeto Benito and Musk are on good terms personally?
Definitely not on a business level. But I don't think his other tweets have a lovey-dovey feel to them either. On another note, there's this.“People should push to have as many moderates advising the President as possible,” Musk wrote on Sunday to his more than 7 million Twitter followers. “Blind hate is never the right answer.”
Agreed. For better or worse, may be a by-product of his early life. Nonetheless, it's something to be admired; notably from someone of his status and achievement.
