You f'n people. On the plus side, the house isn't structurally damaged and all the pee-soaked stuff has been removed. Also, my wife remembered we had landlord's insurance for just this circumstance, and the claim adjuster is coming out mumblemumbletheydidn'tsayIhateinsurance. Also on the plus side, I'm an hour from going here, which is awesome, 'cuz for my 40th not only did my wife get called to a birth but my best friend opted to break up with his girlfriend that day leaving me high and dry. On the minus side, apparently our heater has been illegally installed for the past 18 years so there will be jackhammers and home equity loans. But nobody is bleeding, it's only money, and at least I'm not in Los Angeles. Thanks, all.
