Which is, I read recently, the only source of diamonds on protected land and therefore open to the public in the world.
She plans to keep it, which makes her probably the dumbest person I've encountered in the news in 2015. I will admit that as a piece of geology, the diamond is pretty damn cool. But it's just a rock, and someone out there will take it off her hands for $150000 and think they're beating the system. Once again, it's a rock.
Oh well.
I remember hearing about this place when I lived in Arkansas. I was surprised how many people have found diamonds but still think it's like taking a vacation to sift through dirt. You always see metal detector guy at the beach so very low odds of finding a valuable are vacation material I suppose.
Does this easy money thrill vacation cut across income levels? I s there a dad out there living hand to mouth who says, "Vacation time kids! We're going to Quiktrip to get Mega Millions, Powerball and Jumbo Bucks tickets!"?
