Whenever I hear about humans using a "proxy" I'm reminded of this short story that caio posted a while back. -I highly suggest reading it. As for this instance, I think it's a great example of technology aiding us in a positive way. My hats off to the company that developed this proxy. I can't imagine that the profit motive was the driving force given the small size of the available market.
