After much hand-wringing about the state of the Supreme Court, I stumbled on this article in the latest NYRB. It's a ray of sunshine. It gives me hope that the SCOTUS will remain more or less nonpartisan for foreseeable future. Especially elucidating is the author's take on the recent gerrymandering case.
