I admire his passion and anger towards this subject. And his ability to transform blunt words, cussing, anger and advise into a motivational and inspirational talk. He is does an excellent job at pointing out the absurd and horrible and stupid ways design is handled. "It still fucking happens." Your boss, your clients, your coworkers, it happens. "Fuck it" happens when we are so depleted and anxious and fed up. It happens because the people making decisions shouldn't be making the decisions. Because for some reasons designers aren't nearly as respected as experts in other fields. Perhaps we bring it upon ourselves, perhaps because on the surface it seems "my 14 year old cousin can use photoshop - I'll have him design it!"

Fuck empowering users to learn your settings. Empower your designers so that your users don't need an education or empowerment to figure out how to use or navigate something.
