I've seen these charts before, but every time I'm surprised at the effect religion has on people, seeping even into their sexual preferences. It's really a thought-provoker. Like the college professor teaching symbolism, who had their students step on paper, then write "Jesus" on it, and then to step on it again, showing the symbolism that many of us have towards out "faith". I just think it's odd how "faith" correlates with gentle sex with women, but "religion" correlates with rough. And how "atheist" is on the rough side or men :P
That is an interesting point, but I think some of that might be related to the verbiage used on the profiles themselves. I've browsed OKCupid before and noticed that Christian women emphasized "faith" a lot, more so than non-religions persons. I emphasize "faith," because that word tends to appear Christians' profiles more often than not. "Religions/religious" seems to pop up more often in profiles of people who are not part of any religion; i.e. "I am not religious; hate religion; please do not be religious," etc. are some examples I've seen from obeviously atheists/agnostics/other. "I am true to my faith, faithful, my faith is important," etc. are examples from profiles of generally Christian women. I'm a little high, but that's my two cents. Not sure if it makes sense
