Square windows again... It was because of rivets. Originally this roof window was supposed to be glued, but was riveted to save money. Then after all this they also found that the windows we're weaker than originally calculated. But that would not have been a plane crashing thing without the rivets in the roof window. It may have helped to the disassembly after initial crack forming though.
