GOG.com had the full Settlers on sale, so I got that. Also noticed that the Caesar city building games were on same so I got those as well as I cannot get the cd's to work correctly on Windows 7 any more.

Also, they announced a new edition and HD 4K art pass of Age of Empires. So, it looks like I am going to be buying that again.

MOO II > Age of Empires > Starcraft

MOO?

Master of Orion II. Probably the second best PC game ever made, bested only by the Original X-Com.

I'd say Civilization 4 is better than X-Com. X-Com is definitely a top 10 game. I'd also put Starcraft in front of AoE if only for the rabid online community that keeps it going 20 years later.

Well, Starcraft would go into my top ten, my top three would definitely be X-Com, then MOO II, then TIE Fighter. Fallout 2 and Secret of Monkey Island would go in there somewhere. I'm trying to decide between Doom II, Quake, or Duke Nukem 3d (kind of want to go with DN just to stir more controversy). Shit. All of my games are from the '90s. I don't PC much anymore.

I'd consider portal as one of the best games and that's more recent

Ooh. Good answer. Both Portal games were a lot of fun and very memorable.
