My wife and I discussed this situation over breakfast. It's a good reminder of how grateful we can be for today - regardless of opinions about the new leader - I'm grateful for the process. Hoping for peace.

I'm glad NPR is keeping up to date with this story. For a myriad of reasons, western coverage on African events can be pretty crummy. Hopefully this whole mess gets resolved without incident. And yes, America is lucky to have such a successful history of transfers of power.
