We can safely assume that time travel does exist within the human psyche and body only. There is no way to demonstrably prove what day or age we are living in. It may even be folly to try. This is an "initial conditions" problem. Once you realize that there is no way to put a definitive time stamp on the current experience of now, a workaround must be devised to experience time travel within the realm of the single person's initial condition.
My workaround for the initial conditions problem is called ARIADNI

It is the only form of legitimate time travel I can point to, and it all takes place within the psyches of individual people. There is no "there" to go back "there" to. There is only a here to redefine and realign with the contextualized whole.
Ariadne (/æriˈædniː/; Greek: Ἀριάδνη; Latin: Ariadne), in Greek mythology, was the daughter of Minos, King of Crete, She is mostly associated with mazes and labyrinths because of her involvement in the myths of the Minotaur and Theseus. Her father put her in charge of the labyrinth ; later, she helped Theseus overcome the Minotaur. In other stories, she became the bride of the god Dionysus, with the question of her being mortal or a goddess varying in those accounts.
She represents tangled issues and their untangling, deep, core issues, and the dark secret at the center of the maze, that to be healed, must be brought out to light.
