i think in places where you have to do things around people that arent like you .... when there are mess ups in those places ... I like to think that the system we were using failed us not the person or persons involved. you dont blame the rope for failing to be a chain. God can give a lot of people the space for other people to be a chain or a rope. Unfortunately, our current gods were the product of Bronze Age sheep herderders with a penchant for warfare, slavery, racism, body mutilations, taboo rules about who's fucking whom and in what hole, and zombie saviors. so i think that having a built personification of something greater to ask for help or grace in with dealing with assholes like me ... that's good. but using that same force to do dirty work ... that's bad.
