There are a bunch of changes I want to make to my lifestyle, but my specific goal is to learn a tune a week for the mandolin. I've been trying to make playing it more of a habit - with some success - but only know a handful of tunes and it's quite boring.

Maybe I'll record some and put them on Hubski, if they don't sound like crap.

Other stuff:

Run more: I went jogging fairly frequently this year, but then there were large stretches where I didn't get any exercise at all. I want to keep it up this year. The same goes for pushups.

Be more productive: this is twofold; firstly, I need to pursue my university work more ardently, and secondly (in order to do so) I need to quit wasting so much time in mindless consumption of movies, games and pornography. On that note:

Quit pornography and masturbation: I have a rather serious problem here that is impacting on other areas of my life (see Your Brain on Porn ), but it's not as easy to stop as you might think. Always, that little voice ends up convincing me to give in.

Save money: looking over this past semester, I've clearly gone over budget, and if I don't do something the last several months of next semester will be extremely painful.

Walk barefoot: I've recently experimented with walking around barefoot but had to walk shod again because of the cold. The weather is much milder now, though, so I may try to get back into it.

Cold showers: For about a month I was taking showers with little to no hot water; then, after early morning jogs that half-froze me, I wouldn't have the willpower to face a cold shower, and after caving a few times I quickly found myself always taking hot ones. I'd like to go back to cold showers - apparently there are a bunch of health benefits, but specifically my facial skin would be much less dry.

Learn French: I've made a bunch of French friends in the past few months, and would like to take my extremely rudimentary French to being able to carry a conversation.
