So true. Today in 1933 the Reichstag was torched. Hitler had to work a bit to blame it on the communists. He didn't have a pre-existing online social disinformation network eager to lap up any drivel he spouted. I also wonder if our democracy can survive political partisanship as long as the general electorate follow their party with blind religious fervor. Religious faith translates into "I will follow my party's leader, without question no matter how bizarre his/her command. I wonder if Trump can ever be convicted. If he Trump is convicted, he may puppeteer the Republican party from prison, a, la El Chapo and his criminal empire. We may be screwed.
