I've watched a lot of local live streaming. I think all the love streaming has forced mainstream jornalist to do a much better job reporting what's going on in an accurate and unbiased manner. At the start of this the cops were under being viciously attacked by violence mobs. Most the stories that you are seeing now mention umerited attacks on non-violent protesters. It probably didn't help that the cops have beat and arrested a number of journalist.
