Also, if you happen to want to do some 2D graphics and haven't heard of SFML yet, it's definitely worth checking out! It's straightforward to use and easy to learn. It can also be used with OpenGL. I've switched from SDL to SFML for the SpaceInvaders clone I'm working on atm, and I am simply loving it. Just sharing!
