That's not what I said though. That's not what Catholic dogma says. It's not just wrong, it's an act that puts permanent separation between a person and God, and condemns them to eternal punishment. I would ask you to please stop minimizing what is being preached. Except when it is explicitly stated that some things should not be changed. Pope Francis is a swell guy for a catholic, but he still preaches against birth control, keeping millions of people in poverty. I think it's important to keep in mind, at least from my perspective I think it's important to keep in mind, is that as societies evolve and their understanding and expectation evolve with them, so does the way they view the world from the lens of their religions evolve with them.
