Yes, that's definitely the point. I'm one of the listeners. I will wake up the next morning and not recall the song, hear it again and think "wow, what's that all about?" My interpretation of my own words evolves over time. Once in a while it will click and I will think, "it's so obvious what this is about now." This song was like that for me.
