I BOUGHT A RECORD PLAYER BABY! Hooked up a new Audio Technica turntable to a used Sherwood receiver, and stripped the speakers off of my old stereo so I can spin some vinyl until I get decent speakers. It's the happiest a physical purchase of an item has made me for as long as I can remember. $200 total.

Over New Years I spent a few days upstate with family friends renting out an amazing estate. The owner had an enormous, old, hidden and untouched record collection in a bookshelf in his basement.

...I stole like 8 records. Santana, Stevie Wonder, some Hitchcock soundtracks including Vertigo, Talking Heads, etc. and I kinda feel bad but at least I'm appreciating these records eh??? I bought a Fugazi record and Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp a Butterfly which I had from his show. It's been a good week.

No decent pics saved but I can update later.

Edit: Also, with my last post about opening a checking account, I'm looking into the (very few) credit unions in my area. Meanwhile, does anyone have experience with TD Bank? It's down the street from my building and the convenience is tempting.
