Let me start by saying that this film is gorgeous. The cinematography is interesting (the train station dance scene), and the set design has so many little intricaties (the Basement where Harry lives, for example). But those of you who were riding the nostalgia train for this film are gonna hate me - I didn't like the movie. I couldn't even finish it. I got to just after the part where they go on the date, and i shut it off. I don't mind the unoriginal storyline (it's not the destination, it's how you get there), I just couldn't be convinced to follow the characters through the Ordinarys and Propers. Maybe I missed something, or maybe it improves greatly after where I stopped, Idunno. Maybe I'm just not in it for happy endings?
