First link: Faure piano trio in D minor op. 120: Allegro, ma non troppo -This comes right out the gate swinging, doesn't it. Then there are interludes with just the piano and subtle string swells. Then the strings and the piano play different melodies that work atop one another only slight call and responses throughout (most notable at 4:00 etc) but most of what is happening is a cohabitation of melody seamlessly dancing together between the strings/piano. Lovely. This is just gorgeous stuff Owl. Thank you. I look forward to tackling all of these, as I have your post from the past. This post will take more than one visit to tackle. I'm "sticking" it to my feed so that I can revisit it often. I'm off to finish this first link. Damn good post Owl!!
