Many voices equate 1)the installation of malware that makes the collection of information possible and 2)the actual collection of information.

Likewise, 2)the collection of information is equated with 3)processing that information to obtain information of interest are equated.

Furthermore 3)processing that information to obtain information of interest is equated with 4)using the information of interest to take action (prosecute or drone strike, for example).

Since equality is transitive, this kind of thinking equates 1)the installation of malware that makes the collection of information possible and 4)using the information of interest to take action (prosecute or drone strike, for example).

Granted that the situation is a slippery slope, but there is a difference between 1,2,3,and 4.

It's ironic that the cultures in an 'all natural food' like yogurt are apparently genetically engineered.

I think it inevitable that the fear of genetically engineering will fade in our culture and it is also inevitable that we make a few monsters in the pursuit of 'shareholder value'. First step will be to find a better tag than 'designer babies'. That makes genetically fortified babies sound like a frivolous fashion accessory.

The next step is to pop a few salted pistachios into your mouth.

If this sort of therapy can find a foothold with the terminally ill, the door will be open to begin using it with non-terminal patients.

One obstacle is that LSD is out of patent, so Big Pharma has no reason to push it. Perhaps they will develop patentable derivatives, not that that is a good thing but Pharma has tremendous influence on what prevails.

LSD therapy will be an opportunity for "talk therapists" who have in recent years seen their practices curtailed by meds and cognitive therapy.
