Thanks for that. There is a small number of lads in my school who reddit and similar sites and we share sites and posts that we find. I was just wondering how others stumbled upon this community.

We can only hope. I wonder if the people who post the stuff we complain about even bother coming here at the moment as hubski is just too small for the time being and there is not enough emphasis put on memes and pics ( thank god) for them to have an interest.

I see what you mean. Instead of trying to raise the quality of content people saw it was easier to dilute it down and the city people who tried otherwise were sort of expelled from the site they had created. On another note don't you feel it's a bit weird that we are nearly ashamed of our age.

I just wonder why people in my age group are like this. I find it depressing that I agree with you wanting to keep most of the people my age out but I do think it's a bit harsh to tar us all with the same brush.

But would you think if enough of the redditors who provide the the good content, interesting discussions, quality posts and such came here and thus bring the good content with them drag the rest with them.

I have been lurking reddit for about six months and just as you I noticed a decline in quality and originality. It really gets me when I see a title like 'another shot of ......' or here's My.....'

I would say that my greatest strength would be my ability to plan ahead. I don't plan an hour or a day in advance I like to plan for the week and have a rough idea of what I want to do that month and I never do anything without considering the consequences. I found that this really helps with school work. However I would also consider it my weakness. I can't do anything without considering the consequences and it has excluded me from slot of the craic that the lads would be having.

The people already on hubski are probably not going to like this very much but I'm guessing that the thread you saw had no cat pics so it will probably go unnoticed by most.
