Could you explain your reasoning a little clearer? I've heard this before, that the universe is a hologram of sorts, but I never can quite wrap my head around that concept.

But i think its more of a metaphore than a reality in some ways we are programmed this effects our thinking and out reality and how we percive our reality. Theories are great and all this speculation about the universe is interesting and fun to think about, that being said we will probably never know. If we are in a simulation then we are controlled, so whatever we discover may not be the truth only what we are programmed to believe but we are imortal beings. If God created the universe then we wil llive and die and go to heaven or hell but its a human construct theres no evidence for it. And i just don't belive there is a need to make the human race experience war and atrocities just to make a point he could simply show us. ------------------------------ The holographic principle is a property of quantum gravity and string theories which states that the description of a volume of space can be thought of as encoded on a boundary to the region—preferably a light-like boundary like a gravitational horizon. I don't think the Holographic principle is proof of a simulation more over that it is a theory based on the fact that information is never lost it dosent asume its a simulation but it isnt ruled out.
Ok, these are fair arguments, but why does it seem that we've given up the search for TT math? I've always wondered what would happen if we discover a new math! What if the maths we know are only relative to us? Is it possible to have like a cosmological math, like explained in the video, where advanced civilizations have harnessed the power of stars or galaxies, thereby controlling black holes, and these maths further explain intricacies of the universe on a micro and macro level? Albeit, the math we know isn't definitive to my knowledge, I also think about if math existed before the universe or if it coincides with it.
