I'm disappointed that so many people turn Bill Cosby into a caricature of jello jokes and nonsense. His body of work and actual standup comedy are great, and some of his bits are nothing less than iconic. The Cosby Show was a show of some accomplishment, and the first several seasons are particularly classic. Pudding jokes are easy to make, but he deserves to be remembered and recognized for a lot more.
I saw the "Cos" years ago perform at Eastern Michigan University. It was a great experience. He came out and sat on a stool and told us stories for almost 2 hours. The thing is, time went by quickly because they were so entertaining. He didn't need to flail around the state or be vulgar in any way. He just told stories. The guy is extremely talented and has honed his craft. -No doubt about it.
