It's very late but what the heck. Some people say that be ambitious, because you can't achieve much if you don't dream and chase those dreams. Some people say that you should be satisfied with what you already have because happiness and satisfaction comes from within. These two seem to conflict. But that conflict never felt right to me. But it's really oversimplification. If you separate past and future the whole thing seems very simple. If you are very ambitious with your past, you will be unhappy as you can't change that. If you are completely satisfied of how things are right now, you wont achieve much in life. Personally I like to remind myself that I have faired quite good so far given the circumstances. I should forgive myself most mistakes I've done in the past. And at the same time it's completely OK to aim high and work for my dreams regarding the future.
