We haven't got one!

Hubski doesn't have an API, but I did cobble together very simple one for a couple of specific user requests. I'd be willing to make it easier on someone working on one. I have no mobile app experience, personally.

I'll be in line!

Which system will you write it for? I am currently browsing on my Android phone and while it is definitely usable an app would be great to make mobile browsing more enjoyable. I wish you luck and hope you release something.

Would you be interested in collaborating on a Hubski mobile app? I've got no experience working with Android, but I've done a bit of iOS freelance work. Let me know if you've already started work on something, and if not hopefully we can work something out. You can PM me if you want my email or anything. Cheers!

The RSS feed is pretty rudimentary, so I'm going to start work designing a fully-fledged REST API for the site to use. I'll let you know how that goes.

Very cool gimi, I look forward to checking out what you come up with. Half decent is better than what we have now, right? Good luck and have fun making it.

Well I'll throw my hat into the ring...I've done a lot of android and web development, so if you send me the specs for the api you guys are creating, I might start working a little android app out.

You need to get some people together and work on this, I'd really like to browse Hubski rather than Reddit on those long rides.

I have some very basic android programming experience, and am more than willing to throw my lot in. I have to say, though, the site itself on my nexus 7 is perfectly usable.

I'll start specing out an API and see how it goes.

Edit: I was looking at Reddit's API and that seems like a pretty good goal for a robust API.

If you're interested in helping, I've had a quick chat with mk about speccing a REST API out for the site. I'll be posting updates to the design in #api. PM me if you want to give me a hand!

What language is hubski written in? I am certainly not qualified for using an API , I'm just curious.

That's great! Do you have API docs for me to have a look at? I'm definitely interested in putting together a Hubski app, so access to an API would be brilliant.
