If it's unclear, I'm now an hour on the radio every week, playing goth-industrial, new and old, for anywhere between 10,000 and 100,000 people. The numbers are wiggly. it gives me a chance to pirate through my collection, pirate through whatever Tidal is trying to interest me in and just generally be a dick. For example, next week's is going to be an exploration of the OS X voice algorithms "Kathy" and "Victoria" and their overuse in mid-00's techno, house and industrial. I almost managed to tilt the mix to the point where the Beatles' "Tomorrow Never Knows" fits, but not quite. Maybe next time. Considering the charlatans that surround me play Grimes as if it were industrial, Madonna's Frozen as if it were industrial and endless seas of Depeche Mode I figure I can bend genres a little. So the Christmas show is going to start with the Future Sound of London remix of Apollo 440's "Liquid Cool," AKA "Hypnotoad - the song".
