Dude I just found out like two days ago that Queens of the Stone Age poached The Mars Volta's first drummer, Jon Theodore. Cedric and Omar are fucking idiots (lol at the obscene dB level on Omar's guitar in that mix), and it took me entirely too long to figure that out. Probably any stage hand or photog that ever worked a show for TMV (or At the Drive-In, for that matter) could've told me, but the circlejerk music media kinda kept it under wraps, I think. LOL at one point during that video, the stage hands are rushing to remove the all mic stands near Cedric after he threw one. What an asshat. I wonder what all the Aussies in the audience thought. I refuse to accept that punk or grunge means having to actually be a dick. I don't think Jim Ward / Sparta ever stooped to that level, but I dunno. Maybe you or someone else knows more about these peeps? They're Texans, so you'd think I would have my supergroup history well-formed, here.
