As an MSU GRAD that worked in The Crop and Soil Science building and managed the Crop and Soil science library, I was always astounded by the international diversity of folks that came through there, many students fromAfrican nations and China. Graduate students looking to improve crop yields in their home country. Some of the smartest people solving plant related problems no less complex than curing cancer. I took Crop and Soil Science 101 to complete a science requirement. Thought I’d be in an easy course with a bunch of hayseeds, boy was I wrong. The course was all chemistry. I barely pulled off a three point.
