What is your opinion on the mining issue hubski? I say I am against it for 3 reasons:

1) The ecologist in me says we should better learn how to reuse and recycle the elements we have before mining more. It isn't so far fetched to me that in the not so distant future, our descendants will be scavenging through our ancient landfills for wrecklessly discarded precious materials because the earth has been completely stripped

2. I see this could possibly turn Greenland into West Virginia economically. WV is beautiful, but how often do you hear deragatory jokes about the citizens being poor hillbillies? Historically WV's economy was based on coal mining, entire communities would rely on mining for employment. It's dangerous, and there are horror stories of mines collapsing and killing many people. Now that a lot of those old mines are closed, the communities that relied so heavily on them have suffered financially. No hate to WV, it is beautiful and I love it there, but the economic effects of the end of mining can be still be felt there. If Greenlands economy were to rely so heavily on this one thing, then when that mine dries up they could likely feel the same consequences.

3) That said, also fuck China and the ccp, it's entirely worth it to keep paying Greenland to just not let China have access to any of their resources

I think I'm in favour, largely for the same reasons you mention.

I believe a mining operation in an EU country would be more ecologically friendly than a mining operation in China or the USA.

This mine would help diversify Greenland's economy, which is currently heavily reliant on fish exports.

And also: Fuck China and the CCP.
