That was very clean and well explained. Thanks.

I like seeing more form Al-Jazeera here which used to be considered the source of evil in the world a few years ago.

I used to lean into The Daily Beast but mk is right.

I pay for two paywalled news sources (WSJ & Washington Post) but both have their biases front and center. At this point I check Al Jazeera every morning. At least their bias is different - I'm not as certain about the global importance about Emir Sheikh Sabah but his regional importance is beyond question.

I'm consistently impressed with the articles and videos I have seen from Al Jazeera. They seem to play things pretty straight, and don't get too condescending about America's obvious failures.

I'm done with the WaPo, and tried to cancel my subscription... but I paid for a year, and that's not up until March.

A syrian friend pointed me towards a political cabaret show sponsored by Aljazeera (on their AJ+ platform) that airs every week. Think last week tonight but with a news summary rather than a specific subject.

I am waiting for the day they start to translate them into English. Since finding it, this is my weekly middle east news summary (last weeks episode:

).

What surprised me the most is how progressive they are allowed to be. They take on subjects like homosexuality which used to be a strong taboo.
