saint etienne - Lavillier 'We're not from a country, but we are from a city".. As someone always doubtful about identity, the first verse make some sense. A song about the city I live in. My family legend pretend, that when I was a toddler in Africa, my father and this singer became friend... I suspect, they just bonded over the fact they came from the same small poor town, saint etienne, and found themselves as expat in a remote poor country. Just found this song, and it's pretty cool, with the mine-like rythm, to remind the city was once the richest coal mine of the country
