- Testimony by Rick Gates, Mr. Trump’s deputy campaign chairman, called into question Mr. Trump’s answers to queries from Mr. Mueller. Mr. Trump, who agreed to respond to questions only in writing rather than sit for an interview, said he could not recall the specifics of any of 21 conversations he had with Mr. Stone in the six months before the election. Mr. Stone told House investigators that he never discussed his conversations with an intermediary to WikiLeaks with anyone involved in the Trump campaign.
But in one of the trial’s most revealing moments, Mr. Gates recounted a July 31, 2016, phone call between Mr. Stone and Mr. Trump, just days after WikiLeaks had released a trove of emails embarrassing the Clinton campaign. As soon as he hung up with Mr. Stone, Mr. Gates testified, Mr. Trump declared that “more information” was coming, an apparent reference to future releases from WikiLeaks that would rattle his political rival.
Ah, who would have guessed we could be adding perjury to the potential articles of impeachment? Probably everyone.
A few major possible impeachment articles, which I've tried to rank by how "proveable" they are, with publicly available evidence:
1) extorting/bribing Ukraine with military aid for politically-motivated investigations of next year's front runner opponent
2) obstructionS of justice
3) perjury(ies?)
4) campaign finance violationS
5) witness intimidationS
6) emoluments clause violationS
7) abuse of temporary "acting" designation for cabinet members to circumvent Senate confirmation and oversight
This Gish Gallop presidency needs to end.
Roger Stone and the Houston Astros can get fucked.
The sign-stealing has ruined the only team I’ve cheered for in over a decade. Pathetic. There had better be consequences.
I only slightly intend to coop this post into a baseball thread. I feel bad for some of the fans of the team and players on other teams that have been impacted by this. I feel no sympathy whatsoever towards the players on or the management staff on the Astros. This is a line you don’t cross, I hope the punishments reflect that.
You can't tell someone "be better!" and then start dissing on them three words later. Sounds like Darvish has been through hell off the pitch too. Edit: To be specific, the getting chased out of LA thing. What do you know about that? Getting unbiased baseball intel is basically impossible. (how can I trust you?)
