I imagine Pelosi (or the average liberal) would pay lip-service to denouncing Japanese internment, as they've done for the camps full of Mexican migrants...But I've never seen any of them acknowledge how that clearly racist and economically predatory practice has affected present-day agriculture OR Japanese-Americans. Which is to say: you're not wrong, not even a little bit. I just find myself getting unjustifiably optimistic when I'm not looking. And it's always tough to be brought back down to earth.

And if the world made sense when you were a teenager, and if it's all been downhill since, where else would you put the darkies but in cages?
