There was a preciously small period of time when electronic music was free from the repetitive conceits of today. I've listened to a bunch of early analog synth stuff lately. I'm digging Los Retros. Maybe they'll put out a dope album now that they are on Stones Throw.
I saw vampire weekend tonight. Live. In Chicago. It was really fucking good. I loved how good it was. I had a lot of amazing moments. It was fantastic. Go see them.
I've been feeling nostalgic recently, and have been listening to a lot of Radiohead. My mother sent me an article about Pyramid Song and I've had it on repeat much to my partner's annoyance. Which also made me think about a video I saw about Videotape and the crazy rhythms going on behind a seemingly simple song on the surface. I've also been listening to MMYYKK and Maxwell
Going on a roadtrip this weekend, so me and the other guys are trying to pool together 35 hours of music, Here's what we have so far: <iframe src='https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3JADPrNgQgFRUR6PjlR1vU' width='300' height='80' frameborder='0' allowtransparency='true'> The new stuff I've been listening to is gentle doom prog https://kauan.bandcamp.com/album/kaiho by Russians living in Ukraine and singing in Finnish
here the spotify album (people need an account to listen, bad bad) 35h of music is pushing the boundary, of "music you've been into lately" , isnt it? Or you have a predisposition for music far above my little capacity :) They are a lot of good energetic music (you make me listen to my first Kanye West song, and I think I might like him), sound like you'll have a good trip
Oh it's 100% not new stuff, just a general music-related thing I've been up to. Tho since there's four of us adding to it a good chunk of the songs I haven't heard before (and I've been deliberately avoiding listening to until the trip to keep things fresher) Should have some actual new songs for next week's thread :)
