A lot of Americana. I haven't been listening to my music lately.
I've really enjoyed The Persuasions album covering Frank Zappa songs. Frank discovered them back in the day, recorded them on his label and took him on tour as his opener. It must have been pretty wild to be a black doo wop band on tour with Frank. If you like either Zappa or Doo Wop, you should give it a chance. If you hate organized religion you might also get a kick out of it. I've been listening to a lot of random stuff. Digital music is down at the shop until I replace a cable (that I just replaced and broke in less than a month). It's records for a day or two, I really need to do a big record swap between the house and the shop because half this stuff is played out.
Test Dept - YES! A lot going on musically this week: HN thread on the venerable TB303 set me up to discover Tin Man's - Neo Neo Acid and independently Seri - 0303 Part 1 and 0303 Part 2 and AcidWorx looks like a deep rabbit hole And then the new Suduaya release Loveology caught my attention too but I have mixed feelings about it. The point is there's not enough time to listen to everything I WANT!
