Right, but the argument is that Cohen assisted in payoffs to Trump’s previous mistresses to prevent them from speaking out and damaging his presidential campaign with bad publicity. And there are some rather confusing laws governing the specifics of that, and it looks like we’re probably going to see how those laws are interpreted in a court of law.

But no, this particular article is about Cohen’s lawyer hinting that Cohen has information about Trump committing the fabled crime of “collusion”, or, more technically, conspiracy against the U.S. via cooperation with a foreign adversary with the intention of undermining the democratic process. I guess we’ll see how much damage Cohen can do in the coming months. :)
