What a moron. The thing about former officials having security clearance is that it isn't some sort of privilege. It is to benefit the current intelligence and policy personnel who might need to know something about the history of certain operations. Basically so the current CIA director can call up the previous one and say, "So and so keeps popping up on our radar screen as a suspected terrorist. What did you guys know about him?" The only possible result here is that intelligence agencies are poorer of knowledge.
