It's a breathtaking leap of logic, for sure.

For starters, The XO Group didn't even ask about bachelor parties. The data is completely fabricated by Zillow. To add insult to injury, they didn't ask about demographics, either - are these millennials? Are these Gen Y? Are these boomers remarrying? XO group didn't control for any of that shit - or if they did, they didn't publish it.

Brides magazine has some slightly (slightly) less spurious data that gets you to $250 plus airfare plus accommodation but nobody tries to break that down because fucking hell that's a tough average.

Kinda like averaging home costs.

I would love to see the New York State figures if you exclude the five burroughs. Which, yeah, is excluding a shitton of people and money. But the city to the rest of the state is apples to oranges anyway, and would still leave you with no less than four cities and the suburban and rural populace.
