tbqh my personal (non-weeb) cartoon renaissance was built off Finn and Jake the magical adventure time jellybeans, so I'm probably pretty damned biased, but I still think that if the primary concern you have about a cartoon is the artstyle, you don't actually like cartoons. It could just be that my taste is shit... but you'll never convince me of that.

Good to know.

you'll never convince me of that.

QED.

I have my preferences but, outside of using them for bombastic rhetorical effect, I won't pretend they're the correct ones.

HOWEVER

The easy-looking stuff is produced more quickly, leading to a proliferation of content. The barrier to entry is simply lower. And when the baseline drops, the more expensive stuff ceases to exist. So you better like the jellybeans because that's all there will be... at least until the pendulum swings the other way.
