I don't think it's going to take ten to fifteen years, if the current pace of breaking news is any indicator. Like how the feds tapped Cohen's phone and intercepted a call from Trump before they conducted that raid.

edit: Yikes, NBC got the story wrong. They didn't have a wiretap, but they did have a call log. I'm not sure why it's a huge deal that they intercepted a call from the White House, then. Of course Trump would want to talk to Cohen.

I'm not so sure that there corrected version is correct. Preet Bharara mentioned in his show recently how unusual it is to simultaneously raid one's home, office, and hotel room. He said in his vast experience as a prosecutor, the only time they did that was when they had immediate actionable intelligence that led them to believe time was critically important (and of course a judge has to agree with that assessment). In his experience, this almost always came from direct monitoring of conversations, since there's no other way to get that sort of temporal information.
