I can't say I'm surprised anymore by the dumb shit he says, but I am continually surprised by people who are loyal to him. He will not reciprocate if it is at all inconvenient for him. That should seem obvious at this point.

Consider the Ottoman Empire, or Louis of Spain. The Pasha may be corrupt, the king may be an enfeebled idiot, but if you have influence in the court your fortune is bright.

Until the shit hits the fan, at least. Then it's a matter of who can assassinate whose children first, and who can tack their sails the quickest when the wind shifts.

We are witnessing what happens to the orbits of opportunists when their sun goes red giant, contracts and forms a collapsar.

The end of this cannot come quickly enough. He's orange so at least he's further along than our sun

Hopefully this has the what I watched earlier but I can't watch it right now

I really can't think of anything snarky. It's just bizarre

Dude, I watched the entire 30 minutes earlier today. It was really weird. If I had to guess, it was about 27.5 minutes of Trump ranting/raving. The best theory is that the interview was eventually terminated because someone in the Fox control booth decided that POTUS was increasingly incriminating himself with each sentence. I can't recall an instance where an interviewer had to tell POTUS that POTUS was probably busy (on FLOTUS's birthday, nonetheless), after fidgeting like mad during the whole spectacle. Trump was yelling into his phone microphone towards the end of the interview. So weird!

Edit: yeah basically this

... the interview was eventually terminated because someone in the Fox control booth decided that POTUS was increasingly incriminating himself ...

Any legitimate, balanced, news organization would have let him speak for as long as he wanted, because what he was doing was NEWS.

Faux News, being a Trump propaganda organization rather than a news company, did what was best for their "product" - The President - and pulled the plug.

Propaganda at its finest.

The best part is the looks on the faces of the hosts.

My best guess is that there is a personality type that really takes the 'all publicity is good publicity' thing to heart. This type of person looks at the current situation in the white house and sees opportunity. Not for long term growth and development, but if they play a few good hands and bail fast, a relative nobody could suddenly find themselves moving in the same circles as real movers and shakers. High risk, also potentially super high reward if you can collect the right level of salary for a few weeks/months, get some big titles on your resume and manage to dodge criminal charges or at least the most grievous criminal charges.

Good point. You've got to wonder who these ass-clowns are that keep working for him. People that have nothing better going for them but to become tools as part of the Trump Machine. Trump is the Burgess Meredith version of The Penguin with his inexplicable swarm of henchmen. Each one ready to take an ass-whoopin' for the boss.

Apropos of nothing, but Cheney always reminded me of The Penguin. In appearance. He is of course much more evil

Somebody on Twitter a couple days ago referred to Roger Stone as "Evil Elton John."
