To be fair, the hypocrisy of the admins is pretty staggering. This is not the first time something like this has happened, but the pattern is always the same. Reddit tolerates shady subs. Users are like WTF, reddit ignores them. Then one day reddit gets bad press over it, which worries advertisers and/or investors. Then, suddenly, there's this masturbatory post about how virtuous the admins are for getting rid of these terrible subs (that have been allowed to go unchecked for years). Repeat.

Yeah pretty much agree with all that, the redscare 2.0 is the least of Reddit’s problems
