That is cool! Is it fair to assume that the further the glass plate is moved, the less pressure would those "white bands" have and you would need lighter objects for the levitation to work? I was just wondering what the biggest possible distance between the speaker and the reflector can be for a visible (and probably very light) object to levitate. It probably also correlates with the frequency of the speaker...
The same technique can be refined to also have some control over the object being levitated. Use of multiple sound sources allows you to build the pressure differences without needing a fixed standing wave, and this can even be used to control angular momentum, as show in
